The Story of the Beastie Boys
The Beastie Boys were undoubtedly the most epic hip-hop band in the world. From their early days as a punk band to their emergence as one of the biggest hip-hop acts of all time, they consistently pushed boundaries and broke new ground with their innovative and original sound.
With classic hits like “Fight for Your Right” and “Sabotage,” the Beastie Boys proved that they were more than just a fad. Their raw and energetic music brought energy and excitement to every performance unmatched by any other band in their genre.
The band known for their unique and often humorous approach to their lyrics never disappointed. They had a way of blending political and social commentary with comedy that was both intelligent and entertaining.
A Tragic Loss for the Beastie Boys
Tragically, one of the members of the band, Adam Yauch, recently passed away after a battle with cancer. This loss has left fans worldwide mourning the loss of a true legend and a pioneer of the hip-hop genre. It is a sad reminder of how fragile life can be and how quickly we can lose the people we love.
Despite the loss of one of their members, the legacy of the Beastie Boys will live on forever. Their music has inspired countless other artists, and their unique blend of styles and influences will continue to influence the music industry for generations. There may never be another band quite like the Beastie Boys, but their impact on the hip-hop world will never be forgotten.
Inspiration for the Track and The Song
So Whatcha Want was part of the Ill Communication album, which played a massive role in my life. When the album was released, I was at a coming-of-age moment where I evolved as a person, and my evolution was in sync with the Beastie Boys’ evolution. The Beastie Boys consistently did a great job of re-inventing themselves while staying true to who they are and have been.
Tools Used to Make The Track
I made this song on my turntables and created the video using Adobe Premier. I was going with a classic 80s-style cut-out homage. Create something every day even if it sucks.
